I’ve decided to blog more. I thought heck, if I’m gonna pay money to keep this website on the mighty webs of inter I can at least update it once in a while. As a result I’m writing this. So, what’s new? Here’s the rundown good sir or ma’am.

Kaleidoscope - should be released pretty soon! Matt, being the hero that he is, finally solved a really odd performance issue and it’s in final playtesting as I write this. December and all the silliness that comes with it ate a lot of our time but expect the game out before January’s at an end. That could mean in a few days or the 30th, hopefully the former.

Office Politics - was released on the 360’s XBLIG service. It was online for roughly a day and then we got a C&D because the title was already registered for use in video games. Major bummer… Hopefully Ted Hung, your friendly neighbourhood developer, will just change the title to something that preferably isn’t trademarked yet. Ah well, if you’re lucky enough to grab it before it goes down it’s an enjoyable game with great dialogue and obviously fantastic music by yours truly.

SHMUPS - are still my pass-time activity of choice (coupled with watching Oz and eating). If you hate arcade style shooters I probably hate you a little bit. That’s okay, you can change. Start by buying and playing Leave Home (XBLIG), Squid Yes! Not So Octopus! (XBLIG), Space Giraffe (PC/XBLA) Irukandji (PC/MAC/LINUX) and Gradius V (PS2). There are few things greater than reaching that lovely state of zen when you become one with the flow of the game, blasting through it like nobody’s business. As a rule of thumb, if there are over the top crazy, psychedelic, trippy, mind-numbing, brain-hurting, epilepsy-inducing visuals.. you can bet your sweet ass I’ll like it! Space Giraffe and SYNSO are just terrific examples of this, the rest could probably do with some more pretty lights.

Original music - might be made soon. I figured it’d be pretty fun to do one of them there albums. Possible title is We Express Ourselves With T-Shirts or The Life and Cryogenic Freezing of Beardmonger. Which one do you prefer? I’m thinking a shorter album with quirky electronic music oozing of oddness, minimalist repetition and tasty, tasty synths. Actually, I should probably go start a track or something now. Buh-byes.
